In my experience the drawback with the bush button is two fold
Weather conditions and degradation of the internal electrics leads to system failure
And
the individuals need a reasonably high level of physical strength, dexterity and also the limbs to operate such devices.
As such I would suggest a PIR movement sensor rather than bush button

Subject: Re: Cost of automating existing swing doors
Hi Alyson,
I agree with Alan with the approximate cost for this type of work
Just a word of advice on push button operation. We have this type of control on a number of our buildings. We have noticed that some users will not use them as they either do not notice them or think they are not for there use. This leads to them attempting to open the door manually which can be heavy before the automatic openers activate.
In some instances we have replace the push buttons for sensor.

Hi Alyson
I have commissioned a few of these and they tend to cost around £4000 at the moment for the pair of doors including side safety barriers etc.

Subject: Cost of automating existing swing doors
Hi. We have clients who are looking to move to new premises, which has existing manually operated double swing doors, which they want to automate with a push button on a pedestal. Does anyone have any experience of this sort of work who could give me approximate costs for this? The costs don't have to be exact, just approximate.
Thanks
