I've had the same phone call twice now and when I asked where they got my details I was told 'from our client's database'. When I asked who their client was, they told me they couldn't tell me because it was confidential!

I had the same call earlier in the week. Didn't even confirm that I was a Biochemist.

This is a company called lead physician:
http://www2.leadphysician.com/
They are American and I said yes to all the questions and then filled the e mail in "deleted" so I shouldn't hear any more (fingers crossed). I have also added their e mail address to my junk list so they are blocked.

Subject: Odd phone call
Dear all,
I received a call yesterday from a lady with a foreign accent from an agency that I did not know.
'You Dr Shapiro? you clinical biochemist? I make you honorarium for reviewing cases on line''
I can only assume someone was fishing for my bank account details. I know I respond to nearly all NEQAS cases for comment but who on earth would want to make me an offer like that?
Can anyone shed any light on this?
Leonie
