I had a very quick skim read this morning and I shall be reading it properly this evening. It does look very well resourced and it's nice to see the Magus getting some serious attention.
The first few pages also show a narrative flair that is nice to see in scholarly work from time to time.
The tabulation of Cunning-Man/Woman vs Ceremonial Magician was interesting and I'd be interested to hear what others on the list think of the possibility of satisfactorily sub-categorising in this way

I've emailed Robert off-list to update my email address.
As I mentioned to him - I very much look forward to reading his thesis. I'm not sure why there shouls be concern about disseminating this research on this list. Perhaps I am naive about such things but it seems to me to be the appropriate place to share and discuss these findings.
Congratulations again Robert for getting this far and best wishes for the defense!
