A quick reminder that there is just over 1 week to go until the Celebration of 100 Years of Transport Excellence in the North East and only 5 days left to register.

As part of our joint celebrations we will be hosting a free afternoon seminar in the Devonshire Building at Newcastle University. The Seminar speakers will include the Permanent Secretary of the Department for Transport, Mr Philip Rutnam. The session aims to review the achievements and look into the challenges transport may face in the future and will conclude with an interactive exhibition and demonstrations. To begin the evening celebrations on the 20th September the Lord Mayor of Newcastle upon Tyne, Councillor Jackie Slesenger will host a drinks reception at Newcastle Civic Centre followed by Dinner with our guest speaker, Steve Norris, President, ITS (UK). The welcome reception will start at 6.30pm, dress code is lounge suits. For members of the CIHT and TORG, dinner is at a subsidised cost of £15 per person. For any non-members the cost is £30 per person incl. VAT.
