Hi,
since about a month ago, we've been using EMI2 on a torque server here
at L'pool. It seems pretty good. But sometime yesterday things ground to
a halt. There were a lot of problems with “FUTEX” locks, and unfinished
processes etc. Maui had crashed.
It turns out that maui is using or loosing 30 Meg an hour. After some
days, all the memory is gone and it's chaos from then on. So, I've cut
the polling time from 10 seconds to 30 seconds, and it looks like it's
now hogging/acquiring only an extra 10 Meg an hour. We can last a while
like that.
So if you use maui 3.3-4, it's a good idea to check the memory from time
to time, else you might have trouble at some point.
Cheers,
Steve
