Dear all.
Over the last year Live at LICA has been supporting the fantastic
Leeds-based arts company - Invisible Flock - to develop a project
exploring the unique landscape, stories and experiences of the Morecambe
Cross-Bay walk. In making Sand Pilot, they have worked throughout with
Cedric Robinson, the Queen's last Guide to the Sands.
We are now presenting 4 public performance walks with Cedric and the
company in which you will experience this incredible journey across the
bay, while receiving stories, ideas and conversations inspired by the
route and Cedric's life-time spent walking the sands.
Two of the walks (on Saturdays 8 and 22 September) will take place
amongst the throng of several hundred public and fundraisers also
completing the route - many for charity. A further two walks (Mondays 10
and 24 September) will be smaller and more contemplative, consisting
only of Cedric and members of the company.
Full details, including times and suggestions on what to bring and to
wear, for what is quite a long and at points arduous walk, are available
at www.liveatlica.org/whats-on/invisible-flock-sand-pilot

Sand Pilot is a Live at LICA New Works commission, made possible with
the support of Lancaster University, Arts Council England and Lancashire
County Council.
Warm regards
Alice
