Thanks for this post Andy, always interesting to hear first hand experience of participation in MOOCs.
And Pat, yes I'd be very interested to see a demographic break down of the people engaging with various online courses. Does anyone know if there's been any analysis of this kind undertaken?

I'd not heard of Coursera before, but I'm sure folk on here have. Do you have any opinions/musings/info that can be shared? The story says that it's a descendant of MITx which has been mentioned on this list.
