Faraday Discussion 163: Photo-Initiated Quantum Dynamics
University of Nottingham, UK, 15-17 April 2013
Deadline for abstracts: 17 August 2012
Abstracts are invited for consideration for inclusion as full papers in
Faraday Discussion 163, and should be submitted via the Royal Society of
Chemistry website <http://www.rsc.org/FD163> by the deadline of August 17th
2012.
The discussion themes are:
1. Photochemistry and photophysics in isolated molecular systems
2. Photochemistry and photophysics of chromophores in proteins, solution or
clusters
3. Controlling photochemistry using sequences of light pulses, shaped light
pulses or bond selection prior to photo-excitation
4. Applications of molecular dynamics to global challenges: photovoltaic
cells, photodynamic therapy, imaging.
Abstracts of experimental, theoretical and computational work are welcome
in any of these areas, and must focus on novel, unpublished research.
Faraday Discussions provide a unique format for presentation of recent
research, with full papers circulated in advance to all participants. The
papers are published as part of the conference proceedings and the RSC
journal Faraday Discussions has an impact factor of 5.0.
Invited speakers are:
Albert Stolow (introduction)
Robert W Field
Wolfgang Domcke
Eberhard Riedle
Ursula Rothlisberger
Jennifer Herek
Phil Bucksbaum
Greg Scholes
Joachim Burgdörfer
Graham Fleming (closing)
Further details of the meeting are available at www.rsc.org/FD163
Best wishes
