The Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) is the national metrology
institute of the Federal Republic of Germany with scientific and technical
service tasks. It furthers progress and reliability in metrology for
society, trade and industry, and science.
For the research project "Metrology for biomolecular origin of disease"
within the scope of the European Metrology Research Programme (EMRP) at
Department 3.1 "Metrology in Chemistry" in Braunschweig, we are looking for
a
Scientific collaborator
graduated chemist with a doctoral degree
to join us as soon as possible. The post is limited to 3 years. The
remuneration will be paid up to remuneration group 14 TVöD Bund, depending
on your personal qualifications.
Tasks:
Characterization of self-assembling / self organizing peptide aggregates by
high-resolution mass spectrometry (LC-Orbitrap MS). The investigation is a
contribution to a joint project with the National Physics Laboratory, NPL
(UK), aiming at development and definition of quantitative measures for the
parameter “self-assembly” to be used in molecular medicine and
nanotechnology.
