Adrien,
No paper dealing specifically with tool marks come to mind but there
are a few authors I'm aware of who do make reference to them in the
course of their work -
Adlung, S. and Stassburger, M. 'Dating of Mine Gallery Profiles: a
contribution to typo-chronology in mining archaeology', in J
Silvertant (ed.) Recognition, Investigation and Preservation of
Ancient Mining Relics, (Maastricht/Reichelsheim: Institute Europa
Subterranea, 2009), pp. 80-107
Pierre, F. and Weber, A. 'The use of gunpwder in 1617 in the mines of
Le Thillot (Vosges-France) - inspiration or imitation in the
innovative process', in P. Claughton and C. Mills (eds) Mining
Perspectives, (Truro: Cornwall Council, 2011), pp. 30-41
You might also contact Bruno Ancel at L'Argentiere la Besse - I'm
sure he has written on tool marks but I failed to find specific
articles in his latest bibliography - details off list if required.
Peter
