The Society for Phenomenology and Media invites proposals for papers and three-person panels for its 15th Annual International Conference.
The Society for Phenomenology and Media (SPM) is now accepting abstracts for consideration for its 15th Annual Conference to be held at Puebla, México. Proposals for three person panels are also being accepted. All perspectives on media are welcome. In the past, papers have come from diverse theoretical perspectives feminist, new historicist, analytic, linguistic, Marxist, semiological, structuralist and post-structuralist, post-colonial, and other perspectives, as well as traditional phenomenological points of view. Participants have come from a variety of disciplines, including but not limited to media studies, philosophy, cultural studies, political science, sociology, literary theory, communications, history and gender studies.
WHEN: February 20-23, 2013
WHERE: Puebla, Mexico
APPLICATION DEADLINE: December 1, 2012
Submissions:
(a) Title of your paper;
(b) A 250-word abstract. Please limit your abstract to 250 words. Be sure to include your full name and university or other affiliation.
