italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
Dear Colleagues,
I am writing to disseminate Boccaccio-related CFPs for Kalamazoo and
NeMLA, as their deadlines are approaching. Apologies for X-posting.
------------------------------------------
KALAMAZOO:
Three sessions, sponsored by the American Boccaccio Association, to be
held at the 2013 International Congress on Medieval Studies in
Kalamazoo (May 9-12, 2013) under the umbrella title "Boccaccio
Studies: In Celebration of the Seven-Hundredth Anniversary of His
Birth."
Interested scholars should send a paper proposal (a one-page abstract
and a completed Participant Information Form) to Michael Papio
([log in to unmask]) at any time between now and September 15. The
Call for Papers is available online:

NeMLA
One session, sponsored by the American Boccaccio Association, to be
held at the 2013 Northeast Modern Language Association convention in
Boston, Massachusetts (USA), March 21-24, 2013.
This panel, entitled "Boccaccio and His Sources," seeks to explore
newly identified literary or philosophical influences that lay behind
Boccaccio?s works, whether in Latin or the vernacular. Of interest to
this panel is the whole range of his production, from the Decameron,
the Fiammetta or the Corbaccio to allegorical commentaries in the
Esposizioni or the Genealogie, to his Latin moral treatises and even
the commonly overlooked De montibus. Send 300-word abstract and brief
CV to Michael Papio ([log in to unmask]) by September 30.
For further conference information, please see:
http://nemla.org/convention/2013/
------------------------------------------
Please feel free to share this with anyone who may be interested.
Thank you all,
Michael
