Good evening.
I'm the maintainer / co-maintainer for the two main meta data modules for the content management system known as Drupal, both Nodewords for Drupal 6 and Meta tags for Drupal 7. I'm really interested in ensuring that the Dublin Core support in the next releases of both is as accurate as possible, and so I would appreciate it if someone could help me find some clarity in the specifications.
My first question is regarding the prefix. I've seen several different prefixes used in the past, and mentioned in the official documentation, but there's little in the way of clarity regarding. Specific prefixes I've found in the past include "dc.", "dc:", "DC.", "DC:", "DCTERMS." and the reference documents at dublincore.org skip over this small detail. So, what a) what the preferred prefix, b) could you please provide an authoritative list of other prefixes that are valid, and c) does the meta tag's name's case matter?
The second question, related to the first, is whether it would be conceived as "incorrect" to use multiple prefixes for the same tags on a given page. For example, say the preferred default is "dc.", would it be ok to also show "dcterms." or would that be perceived as improper?
Thank you very much for your time, with your help I'm hoping the next releases of both modules will meet your approval.
