Hello,
This is the so-called X11 Screen Saver extension library (which of course
we don't use but X11 does, so we do indirectly).
This might be a version issue, where Ubuntu 12.04 has a different version
of the library. You can see if you have some version by doing:
> locate libXss
Does that give anything?
On the Linux box where I compiled that code we have one version in
/usr/lib and one in /usr/lib32.
Alternatively you might need to install the library. You should be able
to find the one to install via:
> apt-cache search xss
and it is likely called libxss1 or something like that, so to install you
would do:
> sudo apt-get install libxss1
(or whatever the package is called in Ubuntu 12.04).
