The University of Bristol’s School of Modern Languages is seeking to recruit
for the 2012-13 academic year qualified and experienced language teachers
for the following languages: Mandarin Chinese, Japanese and Spanish.
Candidates must have a degree in Languages, Philology or linguistics, a
teaching qualification and a minimum of three years' teaching experience,
ideally in higher education. Further information on the role of a Language

Hours of work are variable depending on student numbers. The rate of pay is
£13.87 per teaching hour plus one hour preparation per teaching hour at same
rate (£13.87). Additional pay includes 10.77% holiday pay against contract
as a whole, payable at the end of the contract. Teachers will also be paid
two hours per unit for related duties, e.g. attending standard meetings.
