An opportunity has arisen to join this UKCRC-registered trials unit as a Research Associate, to contribute to the design, management and analysis of research studies within the Unit and be the lead outcome measures specialist for the Research Design and Conduct Service (RDCS) for the NHS.
Experienced in statistics and psychometric analysis methods (including validation and testing of PROMs) in a multi-disciplinary environment, you will have a good relevant first degree with a major statistical component, and a PhD (or equivalent experience). You will require excellent IT and communication skills (written and verbal), and a proven ability to conduct quantitative research studies to a required deadline and quality. Multivariate statistical techniques, and the use of statistical analysis packages is required, as is a knowledge of Good Clinical Practice, Data Protection and guidelines for the reporting of high quality studies. This position would suit a flexible individual with a willingness to learn and the ability to motivate others.
