Hi All
Gradus Ltd is the UK leading manufacturer of stair nosings
I have posted this issue previously in 2010 but wonder if anything has changed such as new research being available.
The practice of fitting the top and bottom (and intermediate) steps with a stair nosing of a different colour usually (yellow)to the rest appears to be gaining momentum. I believe this practice may have originated in the rail industry.
Is anybody aware of any research that backs up this practice?
Is there a risk that installing a stair nosing on the top and bottom steps which is a different colour to the rest, could cause confusion to some partially sighted people?
I would welcome any comments
Thank you
