Dear Mies,
Sorry no ideas about how to handle, but it has been in the back of our minds here, so thanks for bringing the issue up for discussion, hopefully others may have some useful ideas/experiences.
Best wishes,
Stephanie

Subject: [lis-e-resources] automated downloading by citation tools
Recently we have a situation where a Graduate Student was trying to download a large amount of material using EndNote's Find Full Text function. As a result the publisher blocked the student's IP address.
We've been discussing how to best handle the automated downloading of full-text articles using tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote, etc.
Do others see this as a potential problem?
If you do have you thought about how best to handle this challenge?
Any thoughts would be most helpful.
thanks
Mies
