According to Mr. Nakatsu, the shape of the Kingfisher bill is “a circular lozenge surrounded by four circles” or a rotational parabolic body that has a squashed diamond shape. There is a picture of the cross-section on page 29 of http://zqjournal.org/?p=115. Did anything like this come up in the Concord research?
