Dear list members,
I am sending on behalf of a colleague the advert for an open position for a researcher (1 year, fixed term) at the University of Florence (Italy), department of Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Technologies.
Closing date for applications 31 July 2012
Here's a brief description of the project
The research activity aims to identify the main factors, which influence the mobility of older people, and to develop future mobility scenarios in order to support the development of appropriate policy decisions to enhance their quality of life. In a first stage the main factors, both technological and socio-economical ones (i.e. also macro-factors as fuel cost, average life duration, personal economic resources, ...), capable to influence the development of older people mobility have to be identified. Subsequently their future development has to be retrieved from global trend analyses. Finally the older people groups, identified in the early project phase, will be merged with the identified factors, and related future information, to develop a set of possible future scenarios. The development of scenarios will also take advantage of a brain-storming workshop organized together with external experts. The activity will be developed within the EU funded project GOAL (www.goal-project.eu<http://www.goal-project.eu>).
If interested, and for details of required qualifications and about the selection process, please contact directly dr Niccolò Baldanzini [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> at the University of Florence.
Good luck!
