Call for Papers for Panel, “Governance and Management in the ‘Asian Century’”, for the Association for Asian Studies Conference, San Diego, 21-24 March 2013.
** Apologies for Cross-Posting **
This panel examines governance, management and organizational forms in Asian nations through the prism of three relationships, broadly construed:
(1) Central and local government interactions;
(2) Government and private enterprise interactions; and,
(3) Government and NGO interactions.
The aim of the panel is to identify lessons learned and best practices in each type of relationship, and to further juxtapose whether they can be applied across a differing relationship, and cross-jurisdictionally in Asia.
Paper proposals, from all disciplines in the social sciences, which examine one or multiple relationships, and encompass a single or comparative national study in Asia are welcome.
Please submit a 250 word abstract and a short professional biography (200 words) to Reza Hasmath [log in to unmask] by 25 July 2012.
