The School of School of Sport Tourism & the Outdoors wishes to appoint to a full-time AHRC PhD studentship. The studentship is tenable for up to 3 years for a PhD (via MPhil route) [subject to satisfactory progress]. The studentship will cover the cost of tuition fees for UK/EU residents and provide a maintenance grant of £13,590 pa with a further allowance from The British Library of £1000 pa. The study will seek to ensure a legacy for materials related to the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games that are available at the British Library and other archive sources.
The student will spend approximately 12 months of their three-year studentship working with The British Library’s content and collections in London. The student will be provided with a dedicated workstation, including PC and relevant software, whilst at The British Library. The British Library will also provide a personalised training programme to supplement that provided for research degree students at UCLan.
