Hi Nick.
Share alike require copies or adaptations of the work to be released under the same or similar licence as the original. It sounds like you are only using part of the original resource, images, rather than the whole resource; but, you have 're-purposed' the content and need to communicate the rights chain to any users of that content. So, at a minimum, you need to credit the source for each image and the images themselves should be made available on the same or similar licence. The repository any resources using share alike are deposited to is not part of the licence, as I am reading it. It is the access to the images that the licence is concerned with.
I hope that helps.
Regards
David

A question that I’m not entirely sure of the answer to:
My queries are about when I have used images from resources in Jorum and then put them into my own powerpoints, do I need to upload my powerpoint to Jorum if a condition is share alike? Or is it OK to be sharing it with our students in X-stream. I'm not sure what 'share alike' means in practice.
Thanks
