Thank you to all that replied, very helpful. Following comments we are
now looking at offering a choose and book system and changing the way
that we administrate appointments. We will contact employees via their
preferred contact ( stated on the OH referral form) to book the appt
direct. We will trial stopping sending appt letters out to reduce
postage costs. We will only contact employee once and leave a message,
the onus is then on them. We will email manager to confirm receipt of
referral and again when appt booked. If employees want to change an
appointment we will ask them to discuss with the line manager first!! We
already called appointments prior to a satellite clinic but they still
DNA'd on the day. We shall see what happens going forward.....
Regards
Helen

Helen,

Our rate for last year was 6.6%. However, for this year to date it
currently stands at 3.5%.

The employees are called prior to booking their appointment to establish
their availability, then when booked, the appointment is verbally
confirmed with them and an appointment letter is then posted out.
Starting this year, on the last working day before the appointment the
employees are now either sent a text reminder, or if no mobile number is
available, they are called.

Regards,

Phil.

Helen,

I cannot totally be accurate but can say confidently that at present (
proposal for change has been put forward as it drives me nuts with such
limited time as it is ...) that we have approx 20%...

Looking at ways to send costs to managers at the minute any ideas
appreciated.

Thanks Dawn

Hi Helen,

Our rate is much higher 12.97% which equates to 5.5 lost days last
month.

Regards

Donna Budden

Good afternoon

Our DNA / late cancellation rate averages 8%. I would be interested in
what other services DNA / late cancellation rates are as a comparison

Many Thanks

Helen
