Next year (2013) the National Association of Mining History
Organisations (NAMHO) conference will be held at the University of
Aberystwyth in mid-Wales over the weekend 28 June to 1 July with
support from the RCAHMW Metal Links project and the universities of
Exeter and Stirling The theme will be Mining Legacies - the
environmental, physical and cultural impact of mining. There is an
advanced notice and call for papers at

- offers of papers on all aspects of the mining legacies are welcome
and not just confined to the UK, international papers would be appreciated.
We are also looking for offers from potential leaders for related
field trips in the area of Aberystwyth and its hinterland. Please
