Hours: 0.5 FTE
Starting Salary: £16,942 per annum based on the full time rate of £33,884 per annum
We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Film and Popular Culture for a period of maternity leave, presently expected to be for a nine month period, to teach across the following areas: American Cinema, Researching Popular Culture Screen Theory and Criticism Popular Culture and Identity, to share teaching on the cinema and TV industry and contribute to the teaching and marking of various other introductory courses, and supervise project work and dissertations.
Candidates with specialist knowledge of animation, Japanese cinema/anime or screen/cultural industries are particularly welcome. In addition you will be able to demonstrate a commitment to teaching and learning in Higher Education.
