Yes, it should just work if it looks like a normal filesystem and the
web server user has read access to the files. It will look for .gacl
files in the directory (and then the parents until it finds one) and
enforce access control on that basis. The .gacl files can include
references to FQANs.
It's also possible to hard code specific GACLs for areas of the
URL space using Apache's LocationMatch directive.
