About the role:
We are seeking two 3D Digital Modelling & Visualisation Specialists (one for London and one to be based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh) to work on a diverse portfolio of projects including:
Photomontages for Landscape Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA):
• Onshore & Offshore Wind Farm Developments
• Grid Connection and Infrastructure
• Terrain and Forestry change
Visualisation for Urban Design & Public Realm Development:
• Architectural & Planting Proposals
Photographic Montaging:
• Landscape and Climate Change Visualisation
Some current projects include:
• Photomontages demonstrating the visual impact of proposed Substation & Mitigation Planting developments in Norfolk and East Yorkshire
• 3D modelling and Photomontage production for a Wave Energy Project in the Outer Hebrides
• Visualisations for a number of Wind Farm LVIA assessments and Public Exhibitions throughout the UK
The individual would be part of a friendly, experienced team of digital designers and GIS specialists committed to high quality professional work with a strong emphasis on delivering effective, innovative solutions.
Involved in all stages of project development from tendering through to completion, the candidate will be expected to participate in all aspects of the work carried out, including assisting with generation of new business and project support and administration.
About you:
Candidates should be qualified to degree level in a relevant discipline. A background in Landscape would be desirable but not essential.
It is essential that you have a good working knowledge of relevant 3D visualisation software (such as AutoCAD 2D/3D, Autodesk 3DS max, Adobe Photoshop) and a familiarity with Resoft Windfarm and Topos would be an advantage.
Confidence in working with a variety of data formats and the ability to learn and use new technologies and software is necessary.
Basic knowledge of GIS and /or photography skills would be desirable but not essential.
Good oral and written communication skills are required. An organised and efficient approach to completing work within tight deadlines is important, as is the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and clients.
