"Incentive payments" to refugees
UNHCR’s Policy and Development and Evaluation Service (PDES) would like to hear from anyone who would be interested in contributing to a review of UNHCR and its implementing partners’ policy and practice with regard to incentive payments to refugees. The purpose of the project is (a) to collect information on and analyze current practices regarding incentive payments; (b) assess how such payments further sustainable livelihoods for refugees; (c) assess whether advocacy with regard to refugees’ right to work should effect the levels of incentives paid; and (d) ascertain what steps are needed to provide guidance to UNHCR field offices and partners.
