Hi All,
Apologies to all for the spam emails. Unfortunately it is part of the email communication world we just have to deal with. The JISCMAIL system is pretty good at catching a lot of these emails, however, if emails are sent from registered list users then it is much harder to deal with.
It is important that all list subscribers monitor their own accounts and if using sign-up accounts such as Hotmail, AOL, gmail etc. consider rotating your password on a regular basis. If a list member's account is hacked then it can spam the list and then that is distributed to all of the rest of us.
We will monitor the situation here but we would also appreciate vigilance on your part to keep on top of security of your own email accounts.
Cheers,
Russ

Hi Nina & all,
Whatever you do regarding these spams DO NOT forward or reply to them. These sorts of emails hijack your mailbox addresses in order to self-perpetuate.
A general rule of thumb, if you don't know them or are expecting them don't open it. Instead delete it. If they are genuine they will contact you using more reliable & conventional means.
Regards
John
