Dear friends of Inclusion Europe,

The drive towards independent living has yet again been on the top of the agenda last month. The reports launched by the EU Fundamental Rights Agency in early June testify that there are still significant barriers on the road to the full autonomy and inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities.

Bearing in mind that the right support is key to living independently, partners cooperating on the project TOPSIDE held their third meeting in Brussels last month. The project partners are preparing a training programme for self-advocates to become peer trainers and to support other adults with intellectual disabilities in making decisions, taking control of their lives and becoming active citizens.

Read on for the latest news related to inclusion and community living.

Best wishes,

Information Team
Inclusion Europe
