Hi Peter,
That's what I thought but I note some local authorities state that by
agreement they will withhold certain elements/levels of the information
where the individual may be effected by disclosure.

Hi Jane,
If it's information that the data controller is required to make public,
then doesn't section 34 of the DPA apply? The data is exempt from the
subject information provisions and the non-disclosure provisions if
section 34 applies (and the non-disclosure provisions include section
10, so data subjects cannot object to the processing).
Regards,
Peter

Subject: [data-protection] Publishing Disclosable Pecuniary Interest
Details
Morning All
Under sections 29-34 of Localism Act 2011 Councillors are required to
disclose pecuniary interests which apply to themselves and their partner
(which means spouse or civil partner, a person with whom I am living as
husband or wife, or a person with whom I am living as though we are
civil partners).
The interests include but not limited to, employment details, land owned
or licensed, beneficial interest in companies within their Borough etc
etc
These interest are published.
At a training course yesterday it was said that the Localism Act
overrides the Data Protection Act in terms of an individuals rights.
This can't be entirely correct.
Just wondered what/if you have put on your Forms by way of a Fair
Processing Notice?
How would you deal with an individuals object to publishing the data?
Many thanks
