Subject: Pulsed dye laser disposal

 

Dear List

Our pulsed dye laser service was closed down last year (yes, "the cuts"). I 'stored' the PDL in a spare corner of our unit, but a recent space and risk review has concluded that it must be removed.

Do any of you have experience of either appropriate disposal, or donating to needy countries (although, with an annual requirement of a new dye kit costing circa £5k, I can't see who would want it.

Any suggestions on or off list welcome.
