A collection of regional websites is being archived as part of a pilot project with local authorities.
The National Archives worked with seven local archives, covering 20 local authorities, to share expertise in archiving central government websites.
Each of these local archives chose three websites of particular local interest for permanent preservation in the UK Government Web Archive. Included are the websites of Nick Clegg, FC United of Manchester, Taylors of Harrogate and Surrey Wildlife Trust.
The National Archives and the Internet Memory Foundation are now working with the wider archive sector to create guidance and service model options for local authorities. A focus group has been arranged with the participating archives to explore key issues. If you are interested in finding out more, please contact [log in to unmask]
