Subject: JOB - University College London HIV Reseach Statistician
A position for a research statistician is available within the HIV Epidemiology and Biostatistics Group within the Department of Infection and Population Health, University College London. The postholder will be based in the Royal Free Hospital, and will be both leading and supporting statistical analyses and presentation/publication of research findings of data from large, complex observational studies of HIV and/or TB infected persons, in collaboration with the Copenhagen HIV Project www.cphiv.dk. The post is funded until 30 June 2015 in the first instance.
The applicant will have significant experience of analysis of large complex datasets. Experience of SAS is essential, while experience of leading and supervising research students and research projects, including statistical analysis and presentation/publication of research findings is highly desirable. A PhD (or working towards a PhD) in epidemiology or a relevant subject is required, An exceptional candidate who is eligible to register for a PhD in the area, could also be offered the post as a developmental/training role. In this case, they would be appointed as a Research Assistant at grade 6 point 24-26, on the UCL salary scale (£28,057 - £29,585 per annum). Persons with a PhD or appropriate research experience would be appointed on the UCL grade 7 salary scale (£32,055 - £38,744)
