We are seeking to appoint a clinical or non-clinical epidemiologist at the
senior lecturer/reader level to coordinate epidemiological research within
the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and their Children (ALSPAC).
You will ensure that the epidemiological aspects of data collection in
ALSPAC remain at the cutting edge of current technologies and will
contribute to the future direction of research in the study, as well as
develop your own research programme in an area of your particular
scientific interest.
You will work closely with Professor George Davey Smith, Scientific
Director of ALSPAC, with Ms Lynn Molloy, Executive Director, and the ALSPAC
Executive Committee (Professors John Henderson, Debbie Lawlor, John
MacLeod, Andy Ness, and Dr Sue Ring).
You will be an enthusiastic epidemiologist with experience in conducting
epidemiological (particularly cohort) studies and have a strong track
record in publication of research findings and grant application success.
