Dear All,
We are having a Volunteers’ Forum on the 17th November in the morning with lunch to say thanks to all our hard working volunteers in the Museum and the Archives; A Conservator was due to come and talk to us on that day but he has had to cancel .
I am therefore looking for a kind conservator to donate an hour of their time to come and do a talk to our volunteers on how to handle museum objects and archive material, in particular photographs as well as other material, about the importance of conservation in general and any other subject that comes to mind. This needs to be voluntary, as we have a very limited budget, but we can provide a free lunch should they wish to stay for this. I envisage the talk to be an hour and a half, with half an hour for a practical session, showing our volunteers the best way to handle various material. Start time would be around 10:30, to be confirmed nearer the time.
This would be much appreciated,
Michèle Losse
