Site Admins,
GridPP Approved VOs
*********************
Changes have been implemented in the "GridPP Approved VOs"
document: https://www.gridpp.ac.uk/wiki/GridPP_approved_VOs
The changes are listed at the bottom of this message.
VomsSnooper
**************
The newest release contains a use case for those sites that wish
to generate LSC files directly from the CIC Portal, by-passing Yaim:
http://hep.ph.liv.ac.uk/~sjones/VomsSnooper-1.13.0.tar
Note: I could use this to create an RPM package, which could then
be distributed similarly to an EGI component. This has been suggested
before; let me know if that would be worthwhile doing.
Reminder
**********
I am looking for test data to check that the VomsSnooper- process works
in the general case, not just the specific one at Liverpool, i.e. I need
volunteers
that (a) use yaim, (b) can send me their site-info.def/vo.d data in a
tar ball.
Obviously, any findings would be strictly confidential, and files
should be stripped of sensitive strings first - I'm only interested in
the public VO/VOMS fields anyway.
Cheers in advance for your enthusiastic participation (high hopes, eh?)
Have a great week,
Steve Jones
--- CHANGES TO APPROVED VOs ---
*** na62.vo.gridpp.ac.uk ***
The na62.vo.gridpp.ac.uk has now been formally approved. The
preliminary VOMS records have been replaced with data
derived directly from the CIC Portal (http://operations-portal.egi.eu/vo).
Note: some fields are different to the preliminary records.
*** ngs.ac.uk ***
An update was made in the CIC Portal (http://operations-portal.egi.eu/vo)
regarding the VOMS_CA_DN record for this VO. This has been reflected in the
new document.
Note: This VO still uses "[log in to unmask] ngs.ac.uk"
in its DN. Email in DNs are deprecated because they cause unpredictability.
*** cedar ***
The CEDAR VO has never been seriously used and there are no plans to
revive it in the short term.
The new document makes this clear.
