Sounds reasonably old although all the most recent "nightlies" are for
Lion there are some older releases for Snow Leopard that are newer
than namaka or kaulia.

Ah. Probably don't have sshd running. I imagine "ping localhost" will
work though.
I use oracdr on a mac on a daily basis so I'm at a bit of a loss at
the moment. I assume your $ORAC_DATA_OUT directory was writable and
you haven't set $HDS_SCRATCH or $ADAM_USER to something odd?
