REMINDER! The call for papers for Going Underground: Travel Beneath the Metropolis 1863-2013 - A Conference to Mark the 150th Anniversary of the London Underground, will close in a months time on Friday 13 July.
The conference will take place on the 17 and 18 January 2013 and will be hosted by the Centre of Metropolitan History, Institute of Historical Research in London.
The conference seeks to explore the past, present and future of the London Underground from a variety of perspectives that investigate its histories, geographies, cultures, politics and social characteristics.
The conference organisers invite proposals for papers of 15-20 minutes in length. Abstracts and author biographies, each of no more than 250 words, should be submitted by Friday 13 July 2012 via email to the Centre for Metropolitan History at [log in to unmask]
