Hi John
Thanks very much for sharing this. I see potential for the questions to be used in small discussion groups in a workshop forum, and, because you've kept things short and bite-size, for adaptation within online resources/tasks, where lengthy doesn't work so well.
Meanwhile the '7 things' can be used as prompts during reflective tasks, for individuals to provide specific examples of what they do in their own contexts to meet these - e.g.
1:4 When they teach, they work with "authentic tasks that will challenge them [their students] to grapple with ideas, rethink their assumptions, and examine their mental modes of reality" ... So, what are these authentic tasks, provide an example?
It would be great if you could share the finished product, and we'll let you know how it's being used.
Thanks again and best wishes
Clare

Subject: 77 things to think about...

Dear Colleagues,

I'm working on a little booklet for people just starting out in HE teaching at my place, particularly PhD students, and I found myself playing with the idea of `things to think about', based on that old `53 ways' idea (or was it 50 ways to leave your lover?), but this time based on the magic number `7'. It's ended up as `77 things to think about...'

If anyone out there has the time or inclination I'd be interested in what you make of it - is it a sensible idea; what have I got wrong; what have I missed; what would you have included, etc., etc. ??? And happy to forward on the finished product if anyone would be interested???

Thanks

John
