Apologies for Cross-posting

NAG is pleased to announce that booking is open for our 2012 Conference.

The theme will be Learning from Success, and the Conference will take place
on Wednesday 5th & Thursday 6th September, at the 4-star Royal
<http://www.hotelroyalyork.co.uk/> York Hotel in the City of York. The
hotel is next to York Railway Station, there are good road links, and Leeds
Bradford International Airport is within 30 miles.

Registration will begin at 10.00 on Wednesday 5th, a light lunch will be
served at 12.00, and the Conference will start at 13.00. We are delighted to
have Annie Mauger, Chief Executive of CILIP, as our Keynote Speaker. We will
then have 3 papers, followed by a choice of 4 workshops, and the serious
part of the day will end at 17.00. At 19.00 we will gather again, this time
for drinks followed by our Gala Dinner, after which the NAG Award for
Excellence will be presented. The evening will be rounded off by the famous
NAG Quiz.

Day Two will start at 9.15 with the AGM (for NAG members only), after which
the workshops will be repeated so that delegates have the chance to attend
another choice. These will be followed by 2 papers, a light lunch, then a
further 4 papers. Conference will close at approximately 16.15 on Thursday
6th.

Throughout both days there will be plenty of opportunities to network, view
the latest products, and talk to a range of suppliers.

Our topics include -

• Reading List Management

• LSE - Creation of the Digital Library

• Understanding your professional value

• Update on the Library Impact Data Project

• UK National Catalogue

• The new LMS from a public & academic perspective

• The Hive - 12 Months on

• Ebooks in public libraries

• JISC Collections

• Patron Driven Acquisitions

• Applying procurement in a library situation

The Conference
<http://www.nag.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/NAG-Conference-2012-progra
mme1.docx> programme is available to download - but please note that some
of the papers and workshops are still provisional at this stage, and the
content and order are both subject to change.

We have held last year’s prices of £325 for the full Conference and £125 day
rate, and booking is open here
<http://www.nag.org.uk/uncategorized/2012/05/test-post/> . If you require a
further night’s stay either before or after the Conference, you will have to
book this directly with the hotel http://www.hotelroyalyork.co.uk/ but
please ensure that you make it clear that you are attending NAG Conference,
so that your room can be matched with our booking. It would be very helpful
if you could inform us if you are doing this, so that we can check that the
hotel has all the relevant information

A wide range of sponsorship and advertising opportunities is now available –
please contact us at [log in to unmask] for details.

We look forward to seeing you there!
