I'd be interested in any responses to this, as it's something we have considering here at Derby. Obviously one cost involved in the ERA Plus licence, as opposed to the regular licence.

Subject: Moving from DVD to Streaming Video
Dear All
At Nottingham Trent we are looking at options for improving our broadcast media services, and are wondering whether to consider moving from off air recording onto DVDs to a streaming solution such as Box of Broadcasts (either BoB National or BoB Enterprise).
If any of you have time to send me the answers to the questions below, I would be extremely grateful! I will, of course, collate the findings and report them back to the whole group.
Questions
* What solution do you use to support your broadcast media services (both recording and playback) and why have you chosen this solution?
* Please can you share any key lessons learned with moving from a DVD based solution to a streaming based solution?
* Please can you share any key lessons learned with implementing Box of Broadcasts?
Best wishes
Ian
