Hi There!
Just a reminder about the deadline for this survey - end of Friday 29th June 2012. If you haven't completed the survey yet your input would be very welcome and valued.
JISC TechDis is engaged in a project focused on the provision of alternative formats for disabled students in English universities. The project is funded by CLAUD.
From recent surveys of HE librarians JISC TechDis has ascertained that the provision of alternative formats is variable across HE institutions. Some practice may result in an impoverished experience for many disabled learners. In order to take forward the design and implementation of new models of support for alternative format provision (a more holistic service model that could be adapted in a wide range of organisations) further research is required to establish:-
• How alternative format provision is currently co-ordinated, promoted and delivered within institutions;
• How a less expensive, more sustainable and more scalable alternative format service could best be created.
In order to take this forward we have created a survey which you can find by following the link http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/claud . We would welcome your input into the survey and if you could send your responses through by the end of Friday 29th June 2012 we would be very grateful indeed.
We look forward very much to hearing from you
Kind regards
Shirley
