Hi,
I just wanted to spread the word about an upcoming conference taking
place in Dublin on 22nd June. It is entitled "Growing Cycling
Participation and Closing the Gender Gap" and will take place in
Trinity College Dublin on Fri 22nd June as part of National Bike Week.
www.dublincycling.ie/conference2012
The main contributors to the full day conference will include our Lord
Mayor of Dublin Cllr. Andrew Montague, Minister of Transport, Tourism
and Sport Leo Varadkar TD, Anne Bedos (Social Entrepreneur, Rothar),
Kevin Mayne (European Cyclists' Federation), Ciaran Cuffe (Dublin
Institute of Technology + former Minister for Transport), Dr.
Catherine Wood (Dublin City University), and many more lively and
informative speakers. A full conference programme and further details
are now available on the website - this will be tweaked in the coming
days with final titles of presentations.
I would be delighted if you would consider attending the event and /
or if you could publicise the conference through your various
networks.
Please note that registration is now open and that early bird rates
will be available until Friday 8th June (yes tomorrow!) and that
concessionary rates are available for students, OAP's, the unwaged,
member of cycling advocacy groups etc. Do not hesitate to contact me
at the numbers below should you require more information on the event.
Many thanks,
Damien
