CALL FOR PAPERS
Alternative Modernisms: An International, Interdisciplinary Conference
Cardiff University, 16-18 May 2013
Confirmed keynotes: Professor Jean-Michel Rabaté (University of
Pennsylvania), Professor Griselda Pollock (Leeds University),
Professor Ástráður Eysteinsson (University of Iceland).
The Centre for Critical and Cultural Theory and the English Literature
Department, Cardiff University, are pleased to announce the call for
papers for their upcoming Alternative Modernisms conference, to be

This international, interdisciplinary conference aims to bring
attention to critically neglected modernist texts, movements and
forms, as well as considering the extent to which modernisms are
themselves (an) alternative – to realism, tradition, mass culture, or
even to each other.
Please find attached the full call for papers and the conference
poster; please circulate widely to all interested parties.
