Hi Viv
Hope that you enjoy your visit. There is _so_ much interesting OER/Ed Tech activity in the US the list will be pretty long.
What you could do is to check out the last Open Ed conference (Open Ed 2011) which was held in Utah and which has recordings of all sessions at http://openedconference.org/2011/ - that should give you some idea of the range of current activity and perhaps some ideas of activity which is not currently happening here in the UK. I'm sure you can track down those that you are interested in. Depending on the conference you are attending you may find useful leads there. (I always seem to run short of time at conferences myself).

Viv,
You may want to try to connect with the folks at Harvard's Berkman Center for Internet and Society<http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/> in Cambridge. They hosted this year's Hewlett Foundation OER Grantee meeting<http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/hewlettgranteesmtg2012/Main_Page>.

Hi All
I've a conference in the US 24-27th July and will be in Boston MA. I wonder if you know of any OER enthusiasts, learning technologists etc who would be useful for me to try and visit whilst I'm there?
Thanks everyone,
Viv
