Dear London Cosmologists,
To save time and hassle we have decided to move the London Cosmology
Discussion Meetings to the Royal Astronomical Society (RAS) near
Piccadilly in central London.
Facilities-wise, this gives us a lecture hall and another room for tea
breaks.
Contact details of the RAS: http://www.ras.org.uk/about-the-ras/contacts
Since the RAS was unavailable for Sept 20th and March 7th respectively,
these two dates will be held at other venues as stated below.
The best part of this new arrangement is that we know the dates for
2012/2013 and these are all, by popular consent, on Thursday afternoons.
Start time: Arrive from 12:30 for a 13:00 start.
End time: 17:00, when we will go for drinks in some nearby establishment
as yet undecided.
The different Universities will still play host insofar as deciding on a
topic, emailing everyone, providing funds for coffee (if possible) and
organising the discussion. The timetable is:
September 20th - KCL [To be held at Kings]
November 1st - Imperial
December 13th - UCL
January 24th - QMUL
March 7th - QMUL [To be held at Queen Mary]
April 18th - Imperial
May 30th - UCL
Kind Regards,
Joe Elliston
