Hi Nicola
We haven't need to produce a risk summary yet but have found the HPA to be very helpful when risk communication with the general public is required. Their fact sheets are also a pretty good source of understandable info:
http://www.hpa.org.uk/Topics/ChemicalsAndPoisons/CompendiumOfChemicalHazards/Arsenic/
The HPA has also been conducting an epidemiological study using BGS baseline info so they may be able to offer up to date advice on risk setting in regional and national context.
Study overview here:

Kind regards

Subject: Risk Summary
Good morning
I am currently in the process of writing a risk summary in order to facilitate the determination of several contaminated land sites. Having read the guidance and penned a rough draft I was wondering whether anyone else has tackled this yet, and would be willing to share.
I am particularly interested if anyone has any thoughts on the inclusion of the 'description of the risks in context, for example by setting the risk in local or national context, or describing the risk from land contamination relative to other risks that receptors might be expected to be exposed to in any case'. The contaminant of concern is arsenic so I was going to include the acceptable drinking water criteria as a possible exposure.
Any thoughts on these matters would be gratefully received.
Regards
