eResource & Emerging Technologies Summit (MSU LEETS) being held at
Mississippi State University on Friday and Saturday, August 3rd – 4th,
2012. The Summit provides a unique and cost-effective opportunity to
focus on pressing concerns in academic libraries today regarding the
development, maintenance, application, and assessment of electronic

MSU LEETS eResource focus: Friday, August 3rd
Friday’s NASIG-sponsored eResource focus provides you with a chance to
broaden your knowledge of issues surrounding the acquisition, operation,
collection, and management of electronic resources in academic
libraries. Featured speakers include: Tim Collins, President and
Founder of EBSCO Publishing; Regina Reynolds, Director of the U.S. ISSN
Center at the Library of Congress; Tammy Sugarman, Associate Dean for
Collections at Georgia State University Library; and Carol Joyner
Cramer, Head of Collection Management at Z. Smith Reynolds Library, Wake
Forest University. New this year will be two Steal-This- Idea sessions
led by David Comeaux, Web Services Librarian at Tulane University, and
Kristin Calvert, Electronic Resources Librarian at Western Carolina

MSU LEETS Emerging Technologies focus: Saturday, August 4th
On Saturday, Nicole Hennig, Head of MIT’s User Experience Group, will
offer a keynote exploring current tech trends in human-centered design,
learning by creating, location-independence, and social good.
Registration for the Summit will also include her popular
Apps4Librarians workshop (http://apps4librarians.com/). As always, we
will have additional Steal-This-Idea sessions from your colleagues
across the country on subjects like mobile app development, cloud
computing, augmented reality technologies, and more. This year, we will
also be offering two Think Tank sessions focused on developing
collaborative solutions to social media staffing models and streamlining

Registration for the full conference is $80. One-day registration is
available for $50. NASIG members and LIS students receive a discount.
